Reclaimed, curated by Sammi Gale, brings together five artists using salvaged materials, with a sensitivity to process, texture and place, and features works by Abdulrazaq Awofeso, Rose Davey, Lucy Heyward, Tomoya Matsuzaki, Jeff McMillan, and students from Parliament Hill School — each offering quiet resistance to excess by working with what is close at hand.
The exhibition is presented by Simple Works and explores the regenerative design principles and circular economy mindset of their structural engineering practice through a series of different artistic impulses. Simple Works ran a workshop for Parliament Hill School students on 8th May, and the sculptures made during this session were included alongside the other artworks on show.
